State Department of Geology of Georgia

State Department of Geology of Georgia, led by Professor and Head of the Department, Mike Roden, aims at providing superior quality education and research facilities to scholars and students in Georgia, as well as, abroad. The University of Georgia is in the main science building at Athens. The State Department of Geology of Georgia, consists of 21 faculty members, about 35 students pursuing their graduation degree and 40 students who are in the undergraduate section. Besides, there are also official and technical staff members.

The Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO) (Instituto Espanol de Oceanografia) was founded on 17th April, 1914 under the Royal Decree. On that days the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO) (Instituto Espanol de Oceanografia) was working together with other two institutions which are Marine Biology Laboratories in Santander, established in 1886 and attached with University of Valladolid and Porto Pi (Mallorca), established in 1906 and attached with the University of Barcelona.

The Southern and Eastern African Mineral Centre (SEAMIC) was founded in 1977 under the supervision of United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). The founder members of the Southern and Eastern African Mineral Centre (SEAMIC) are the states of Mozambique, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Comoros, Uganda and Angola. Kenya joined as an active member of Southern and Eastern African Mineral Centre (SEAMIC) in 2005. The Southern and Eastern African Mineral Centre (SEAMIC) is a self governing regional centre in Africa.

South Asia Geological Congress (GEOSAS)

The South Asia Geological Congress (GEOSAS) was started in 1992. The first South Asia Geological Congress (GEOSAS) was held in Pakistan.
