History and Development:

V.I. Vernadsky Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry was established in march, 1947. The establishment of this institute can be attributed to the problem related to geochemistry faced by the V.I. Vernadsky Laboratory. GEOKHI is situated at:

GEOKHI presently have 650 permanent staff. Among these, 387 are scientists and 230 are doctors. V.I. Vernadsky Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry also boasts of providing world class infrastructure for scientific studies. It has 30 laboratories for geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry departments.
