Center for Ecology and Hydrology, UK is an organization which is known for its good work in the field of freshwater environmental science. The main aim of CEH is to understand the environmental mechanism and to assess the impact of the mutual interaction between the man and environment. CEH also focuses to make a way out to combat the various ecological and environmental problems.

Activities and Services:
Center for Ecology and Hydrology, UK conducts various researches and projects encompassing the various aspects of environment. There are four Science Programmes:
- Biodiversity Programme
It mainly concentrates to understand the distribution and interaction of various species within the ecosystem. The five disciplines which have been considered in integrating the biodiversity research are: Biogeochemistry, climate change, sustainable economies, water and environmental Informatics
- Water Programme
This Programme is to determine the flow of water and its quality., management of water resource and catchments.
- Biogeochemistry Programme
This programme is to know the natural environment better. The main research themes of this programme are: air pollution, ecosystem science, soil pollution etc.
- Environmental Informatics Programme
This mainly focuses an aspect of environmental management through computer based informatics system.
The two basic themes of researches are:
- Climate Change
- Sustainable Economies
Apart from this, CEH also offers various products like Softwares, Statistical Packages, Publications etc.
